BMCRC provides a variety of services to recognized and supported project groups. These services include:

 

•  Providing an umbrella 501-c-3  tax-  exempt status to the projects

•  Assisting in obtaining grant funds

•  Liability insurance coverage. for volunteers and events

•  Assisting in financial management.

•  Monitoring projects.

•  Providing resources such as strategic planning, statistical data and other information, management expertise, technical advise, and advertising and promotion.

 

The BMCRC Board of Directors, as a whole, does not get involved in the work done on supported projects, although individual directors may participate in various project activities.

 

The "hands on" work is done by project groups, which are individual organizations having their own advisory boards and utilizing their own pools of volunteers.
